Mr. Russell is an instructor at The Academy of Performing Arts, and he has played a very important role in helping to shape our daughter into a young musician. While working with Mr. Russell, the most impressive quality I saw was his patience with children. He's very good at explaining complex musical theory in multiple ways to help create a deep foundation and understanding of music. He also has written a book and created a website as a resource to help educate his students. Mr. Russell has a deep passion for the violin, and he carries it through into his music instruction. He models proper etiquette and shares a very wide knowledge of music during his lessons. I am thankful that my daughter gets to see different ways that she may incorporate music into her future. My daughter truly looks forward to her lessons and has grown so much in her musical journey. I believe Mr. Russell would be an asset in any musical capacity, and I give him my highest recommendation.
