Emily grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and attended the University of Louisville to study with cellist Paul York. She received her Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance with a minor in Creative Writing.
Emily guides her students in developing a strong technical foundation, incorporating music theory and ear-training into lessons, while also encouraging her students to discover their unique musical voice. She is fortunate to get to learn with a diverse group of students and enjoys the array of goals, perspectives, and stories they bring to their lessons.
