About Us
Maestro Makers, Southeastern Wisconsin’s premier in-home and online music school, is dedicated to making music lessons a fun, comfortable, and convenient experience for students of all ages and skill levels. In addition to enhancing one’s musical abilities, Maestro Makers prioritizes a love for music and fosters an eagerness for learning and playing.
Our roster of instructors are not only some of the most talented music teachers in the area, but also performers of the highest caliber. Here, the same gifted performers inspire students and provide master instruction. Maestro Makers will harness each student’s natural ability, and develop their expression in the place where the student feels the most comfortable and open to learning, his or her own home.
We’re currently offering lessons in the Milwaukee and Madison areas, for Piano, Violin, Cello, Clarinet, Drums, Flute, Guitar, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Bassoon, Oboe, Ukulele, Viola, and Voice.
“Choosing Maestro Makers was one of the best parenting decisions we have ever made. The incredible convenience of having an in-home lesson has allowed our son to grow his confidence as a musician and student.”

“I have been taking lessons with Maestro Makers for a few years. I am an older student and very grateful for the fact that they come to my house. I would not make the effort to go to someone else’s studio. Lessons in my home have made it possible for me to continue with something that I truly enjoy and which would not have been possible otherwise.”

FAQ
Where do lessons take place?
All music lessons take place in the comfort and convenience of the student’s home. We currently offer instruction in the Milwaukee and Madison areas.
How often are lessons taught?
Typically, lessons are once a week. Maintaining a consistent schedule provides for the most effective learning and results.
How long are the music lessons?
Lessons are scheduled for either 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes. A discussion with your instructor will help determine what is right for you.
What instruments do you teach?
Maestro Makers offers piano lessons, violin lessons, cello lessons, clarinet lessons, drums lessons, flute lessons, guitar lessons, saxophone lessons, trumpet lessons, bassoon lessons, oboe lessons, ukulele lessons, viola lessons, and voice lessons. On occasion, instructor availability may vary.
What ages do you teach?
Minimum ages vary by instructor and instrument. Contact us and we will help determine what makes the most senses for your particular situation. Just like the kids, adults are enthusiastically encouraged to begin music lessons, whether starting from scratch, advanced or someplace in-between.
Is there a long term commitment?
Lessons are on a month-to-month basis. Maestro Makers does not require long-term contracts.
Are there recitals?
Yes! Maestro Makers will have a school-wide recital at least once a year. For additional performance opportunities, ask your music teacher.
How much should I practice?
Practice recommendations vary by instrument, experience level, age, and your music teacher. Your instructor will make recommendation as to how much practice time should be allocated.
Do you have a referral policy?
Yes. Refer a friend to us and, once they complete 3 lessons, you get a credit for one free 30 minute lesson! The person that you refer should let us know that you provided the name in advance of starting any lessons. Refer as many times as you would like.
How do I pay?
Please refer to billing procedures in the policies section of the website.
Am I allowed to cancel or reschedule lessons?
Cancellations are sometimes unavoidable. Please refer to our policies section for more details. Rescheduling is at the discretion and availability of your music teacher.

Practice recommendations vary by instrument, experience level, age, and your music teacher. Your instructor will make recommendation as to how much practice time should be allocated.
Who are your instructors?
All of our music instructors are highly regarded professional performers and teachers.
Are there any extra fees?
Other than purchasing music books or other materials needed for lessons, there are no additional administrative fees or hidden costs.
Do I need to own an instrument?
Other than voice lessons, you will need an instrument. Many students choose to rent before buying. If you are interested in piano and do not have one that’s acoustic, a full-size, 88 key, digital piano with weighted keys, is an appropriate alternative. As for drums, a full drum set is not required. Sticks and a practice pad serve as a good starting point. Your instructor can help determine what’s best for you.
May I try out a lesson before enrolling?
Yes. An introductory lesson is always encouraged. Just ask, and we will provide a trial lesson at half off!
What do lessons cost?
30 min = $36
45 min = $50
Two 30 min lessons, or one 60 min lesson = $66
