Violin
Venezuelan violinist Allison Lovera is an award-winning musician celebrated for her passion and sensitivity. Her accolades include first prize at the Maurice Hasson National Violin Competition, the Luminarts Cultural Foundation String Fellowship, and victories in multiple concerto competitions. She debuted as a soloist at 13 with the Aragua Symphony Orchestra and has since performed as a soloist with orchestras in Venezuela and the U.S., as well as in recitals across Venezuela, Costa Rica, and Chicago, in venues such as the Simón Bolívar Hall and the Chicago Cultural Center.
In addition to her performing career, Allison is a dedicated teacher with extensive experience. She began her teaching journey with Venezuela’s renowned “El Sistema” and later worked as a violin professor in Costa Rica. She spent four years with Chicago’s Ravinia Reach Teach Play program and now teaches young Venezuelan violinists online, mentoring students who have earned scholarships to prestigious music schools such as the University of Memphis, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory in Singapore, and the Chicago College of Performing Arts. Her students have also achieved success in the professional orchestral world, winning positions in ensembles like the Simón Bolívar Orchestra, Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires, and the Auckland Philharmonia.
