Ben Bruns is a drummer with nearly 20 years of experience performing and recording in bands, and over a decade of teaching under his belt. He studied in the Music Occupations program at Milwaukee Area Technical College (2014–2018) and has trained with respected drummers Dave Schoepke and John Calarco. In 2015, he attended the KoSA Drum Camp, taking part in workshops with legends like John Blackwell and Dennis Chambers.
Ben plays in several bands, including Blues Addiction, Superfly, and the Brendan Demet Trio, and occasionally leads his own group, the Ben Bruns Band. He enjoys exploring a wide range of musical styles and believes that behind every great song is a great drum part.
Ben offers drum lessons for all skill levels—whether you’re a beginner, picking it back up, or looking to advance your playing. His lessons focus on strong fundamentals, reading and listening skills, creative expression, and real-world application in band settings. Lessons are customized to each student, blending their favorite songs with targeted exercises that develop both skill and musicality. Ben’s goal is to help every student discover their unique voice on the drums and grow into confident, expressive musicians.
