Elizabeth Biermann | Milwaukee

Milwaukee Piano Instructor

Elizabeth Biermann is a 2009 graduate of Carroll College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music performance, specializing in piano. A Wisconsin native, she has always had a special relationship with music, whether it be singing in the choir as a small child or taking piano lessons. Her passion for music took off when she began a serious study of music and the piano when she switched piano teachers in 7th grade to Moraine Area private teacher Pat Hauser.

During her time at Carroll, Elizabeth studied with Shanti Daya and began accompanying the college’s women’s ensemble under the direction of Kari Doepke which she continued to do for 7 years. She took a few years off and began working for Carroll again in the Fall of 2016 again as an on-staff accompanist for both the vocal and instrumental department. She has also worked for Hartford Union High School in the past for 6 years as an accompanist for the vocal department and currently resides as the choral accompanist for Brookfield East High School under the direction of Kari Doepke as well as a collaborative pianist and singer with the Milwaukee area group Opera on Tap.

She currently works full time as the Director of Music and Liturgy at St. Charles Borromeo in Milwaukee since the fall of 2014 where she conducts the adult choir, adult handbells, children’s choirs, and children’s handbells as well as managing all aspects of liturgy within the parish. She has her own private piano studio in Milwaukee teaching all ages and is excited to be joining the maestro makers team to introduce new students to the wonderful world of piano. She teaches the Jane Tan piano method which she studied with a local teacher for a year after completing her Bachelor’s degree. The Jane Tan piano method focuses on immersing students in all facets of being a successful player from the very beginning of study.

Elizabeth is currently offering piano lessons in Milwaukee and is accepting new students.
