Guitar, Trombone, Ukulele Instructor

Jackson Feroe is a multi-instrumentalist who has been teaching and performing for many years. His primary instruments are guitar, ukulele and trombone. He studied classical trombone under Dr. Drew Leslie at Appalachian State University, and Dr. Herald McKinney at Caldwell Community College.

He has performed in both the Appalachian State Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble. Additionally, he performed with fusion and heavy metal bands while living in Boone, North Carolina. After moving to Lakewood, Colorado in 2018, he began as a freelance guitar teacher. He also performed and recorded as the trombonist in the Denver fusion group The Soltones. Since his early years in Colorado, Jackson has worked with many other Denver based bands, such as Years Ago, Ole Baron and 2 AM. He’s is excited to teach as part of the Maestro Makers’ Colorado faculty.

Jackson has experience working with students of all ages including those who are neurodivergent. He specializes in a visual approach to understanding an instrument that facilitates the process of learning music and music theory for any musician. Once the fundamentals have been worked through, he values and encourages improvisation for all students. It helps build confidence, creativity, and originality in playing.

Jackson is currently accepting students of all experience levels in the Denver area.
