Matt Bergey

Co-Founder / Piano Instructor

Matthew Bergey has been a successful soloist, chamber music player, church musician, and piano teacher for the last 15 years in the Milwaukee area.

He graduated with a BS in Psychology from UW-Madison, and received a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from one of the country’s premiere music conservatories, the Manhattan School of Music.

Matthew recently performed the entire Beethoven cycle for piano and cello with The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Peter Thomas, one of the city’s finest cellists. Other collaborations with singers from the Metropolitan Opera, the Irish tenors, and other local master musicians have contributed to Matthew’s unique vision on teaching, through the eyes of a performer.

Matthew Bergey teaches all ages and abilities, from absolute beginners to seasoned players with many years of piano playing. Many of his students have gone on to be quite accomplished in their own right, receiving awards in competitions, to scholarships at the university level.
