Guitar
Having graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee’s music program in 2011, I have been teaching guitar lessons for more than ten years. As a lifelong learner and passionate guitar enthusiast, I find equal enjoyment in deepening my own musicianship and helping others discover their musical voice.
Teaching in the home allows lessons to remain convenient, casual, and comfortable, which I believe creates an especially positive and personal learning environment. My goal is to help students build a strong foundation in sight reading, rhythm, music theory, and technique, while also exploring the repertoire that excites and motivates them most.
Over the years, I have studied jazz, played lead guitar in classic rock bands, and currently perform with a local funk group. This broad musical background enables me to adapt lessons to a wide range of styles, including jazz, rock, pop, funk, and more. I enjoy tailoring instruction to each student’s interests and goals, whether they want to master a favorite song, improve their technique, or develop a deeper understanding of music as a whole.
I love music, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share that passion with others. Watching students grow, gain confidence, and develop their own artistic identity is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching, and I am committed to creating a fun, supportive, and inspiring experience for every learner.
