Wisconsin native, Raquel Bruening Iacob, DMA, is an educator and musician. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (2014) and has performed in Carnegie Hall and Symphony Center in Chicago with their Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Dr. Iacob was the winner of the 2011 UW-W Concerto Competition She completed her Master of Music degree and post-baccalaureate certificate in music theory from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (2017) and was a teaching assistant in the clarinet studio and music theory departments. She received her Doctor of Music Arts degree from Texas Tech University (2020) and was also a teaching assistant in the clarinet studio during her time there.

Dr. Iacob won first prize at the 2014 Lakeshore Wind Ensemble Concerto Competition (WI), has been a part of multiple recording projects in pieces by John Mackey (NC) James Stephenson (TX), and Michael Fine (TX), and has performed with numerous chamber ensembles. She has performed with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra (TX), Southwest Symphony (NM), Piedmont Wind Symphony (NC), Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra (WI), at the Midwest Mozart Festival (IL), and was selected to perform at the International Clarinet Association Clarinetfest 2020 (NV). She is an elementary general music teacher at Jerstad-Agerholm School and resides in Racine, WI with her husband.
